My hair is better than yours!

“My hair is better than yours.” I said.
“No way, my hair is better.” replied Billy.
“Well mine is brown, way better than blonde.” I yelled.
“No, blonde is way better than brown.” Billy said.
“No brown is better and anyways, my long is hair is better than your short hair.” I replied.
“Ya right, short hair is much cooler. “ Billy said.
“I don’t think so buddy, girls like long hair way more.” I yelled back.
“Are you kidding me, they like short way more.” Billy replied.
“I don’t think so, anyways your curly hair is stupid.” I yelled.
“No way is curly hair way cooler than your wavy hair.” Billy said.
“Well at least I don’t have lice in my hair.”I said with a grin on my face.
“No I don’t you liar!” Billy yelled.
“I don’t lie; you know you do just admit it!” I said.
“I will never admit it because it’s not true!” Billy said.
“Well thin hair is way better than your thick hair.” Billy said.
“You’re a funny boy, thick is way cooler these days.” I replied.
“This is never going to end.” Billy yelled in sadness.
“I agree” I said.
“We will finish another time.” I said.

We both walked away in sadness that nobody could really finish this battle about who’s hair is really but I don’t care because I will always know my hair is much better than Billy’s. As we were both walking away I turned around and shouted

“ My will always be better.”

Up at the Hill

The cold breeze gently blowing in my face as I sit up at the top of Big White. The snow slowly falling from the sky dripping down my back as my spine shivers. As I sit down to do up my bindings I feel myself landing on the cold hard snow. My feet ache as I tighten my bindings one foot at a time. After doing up my bindings I stand up and position myself to get ready and start snowboarding.

I tilt up my head and stick out my tongue for the feel of the light snowflake landing on my cold tongue. The ordinary taste of snow as it drops into my mouth. The cold fresh air in my mouth as I start off slowly but begin to pick up speed as I starting descending the enormously steep hill. As I got about half way down the hill I could smell the stench of other riders zipping by me at full speed racing down to the bottom with their friends. As I start zooming down the hill I can smell the cold fresh air blow by me as I rip down the hill at a decent speed. I take a hard left turn into the forest area as I hear the sound of my board carving into the snow as I almost fall down taking a sharp turn. As I enter the forest area , the beautiful smell of the pine and the fresh trees and I zip by them dangerously almost crashing into multiple trees which would not lead to good things considering I was riding by myself.

I dangerously race out of the wonderful forest area and my favorite song is playing on the radio that plays all day at Big White. I race down the hill at top speed as the music pumps me up and just makes snowboarding that much more fun. As I am going very fast at a dangerous speed I all of a sudden come to a halt. I look down at my board I notice that my left binding came really loose. I reached down at my board and tighten my binding , the sound of my binding tightening , the plastic rubbing against each other as my foot gets pressed against by the binding but it has to be very tight to snowboard. As you carve side to side the sound of your jacket crumpling and the Velcro on your pants and jacket coming off and going back on. The most beautiful sound of all, the sound of other riders carving by your in the fresh compact snow and the board gently goes side to side in the snow. My favorite part of all snowboarding, riding thru the deep soft powder as the board gently rides thru the beautiful shiny snow, dangerously almost getting stuck in the powder which is never a good thing.
I’m almost reaching the bottom of the enormous hill which was my favorite run of all time at Big White. All I can do is admire the wonderful winter sight at Big White as the beautiful fragile snowflakes dropping from the sky gently landing on the ground. The other riders calmly riding down the hill at a slow speed, I felt like I was in a whole other world, the most beautiful world of all time. It was to amazing to be real; I swear it was a dream. The gigantic jumps ahead as butterflies travel to my stomach, I take a deep breath, I hit the jump and soar thru the air like an eagle, and a soft gentle landing with a sigh of relief. As I look back another rider doing an amazing trick like a trick I have never seen before, a back flip. This experience was like I was in heaven.

I was approaching a grind at Tellus Park, I get that feeling in my stomach, i'm scared to ride on the skiny but long rail. My heart is racing like Usain Bolt as i get closer and closer. I took a deep breathe and started breathing calmly but suddenly I caught an edge, i bailed hard right before the rail, there I was laying in the snow with the freezing snow getting in my gloves, pants and jacket.I got up and continued down the hill enjoying the beautiful scenery.

I reach the bottom of the hill. Breathing hardly after the most amazing moment of my life. I could have sworn it was a dream, the beautiful winter sight like I have never seen before in my 12 year old life. I check the time on my watch, my hand shaking I was so cold. It was 7:30 and I thought to myself , “My parents are not coming until 9:00 , just enough time to do it all again.
